The one-paragraph version
Reviews on NetReckon are written by registered users about tools they actually use, checked by a human before they publish, and never removed because a vendor doesn’t like the score. Negative reviews that follow the rules stay up — that’s the whole point of having reviews.
Who can review
- Any registered user with a verified email address
- One review per product per person — you can update it any time, but you can’t stack the deck
- Your review publishes under your display name; your email never appears
What a review contains
Every review carries an overall star rating, a title, your written experience, and four sub-ratings — ease of use, features, value for money and customer service. All of it is required: partial reviews help nobody compare anything.
How moderation works
Nothing publishes automatically. A person reads each review before it appears, checking for the rejection reasons below — and nothing else. Moderation exists to keep reviews genuine, not comfortable: a harsh review of a real experience passes; a polite fake one doesn’t.
What gets rejected
- Fakes and conflicts — reviews of your own product, your employer’s, or a direct competitor’s
- Incentivized reviews — anything written in exchange for payment, discounts or perks
- Spam and off-topic content — link drops, promo copy, or text unrelated to using the product
- Abuse — personal attacks, hate speech, doxxing, or profanity aimed at people rather than products
What vendors can & can’t do
Vendors can flag a review they believe breaks the rules above, and we’ll re-check it. They cannot pay to remove, bury or reorder reviews, and sponsorship buys no exceptions — see the advertising disclosure. If a flagged review stands, it stands.
Editing & reporting
You can edit your own review from the product page at any time; edits go back through moderation before republishing. Anyone can report a review that looks fake or abusive via the contact form — reports are checked by a person within two business days.
